Intuitive Creative

Hi! I'm Yarelit Mendoza and I love expressing my creativity through different mediums. I've always had a passion for the arts since I was a little girl, and over time that passion merged with techology. Whether it was through video editing (yes, I had a phase where I made AMVs), designing clothes in digital worlds like IMVU, experimenting with pixel art, and even dabbling in web development! For me, creating is about exploration — I enjoy diving into a project and seeing what naturally unfolds in the process. You can find a quick overview of my work below! More works can be found under "Personal Projects."

Videos

There was a time when I focused on my YouTube channel under the alias "MelliBL" in which I did recaps of BL (Boy's Love) Manhwa (Korean comics) that I loved. The channel cultivated almost 150 subscribers before it was hit by 2 copyright strikes, which ultimately endagered by channel. Sadly, I had to put that hobby to rest, but I am thankful for the experience.

Summary:
There was more planning that went into this piece which included note-taking, writing dialogue, and assistance from chatGBT with articulating my thoughts. This video gathered a little over 1,000 views and although it wasn't my most popular, I believe it is my best work.

Summary: This was my latest project before my YouTube channel received copyright strikes. Unfortunately, it was difficult to complete this piece due to being discouraged. However, I am happy with the effort and direction of this video, since I decided to go back to impromptu editing and voicing.

About Me

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, I moved to Camarillo, California in 2014 in order to attend CSUCI. I enrolled as an Art major, but I did not possess the confidence to excel in the field. After a year and a half of exploring potential majors, I ganied an interest in Computer Science and graduated with a B.S. in 2021.

I received a job offer before graduating, where I worked as a Technical Support Associate for Modern Campus— followed by Technical Support Specialist II, then finally as a Team Lead for the Technical Support team. After being with the company for almost 4 years, I began my journey at The Trade Desk as a Platform Support Coordinator (2025).

My interest in technology started from a very young age. It stemmed from my passion in video games at the age of 10. Eventually, this led to an interest in computers where I played flash games and came across IMVU (3D Avatar Social App). I discovered anime shortly after and watched series that I could find on YouTube. Naturally, I stumbled upon AMVs (Anime Music Videos), gained an interest, and searched tutorials on how to make edits. I started creating videos on Windows Movie Maker, then Sony Vegas PRO. I was a part of online AMV communities where we collaborated in multi-editor projects. Over time I got into multiple forms of art whether it was water color, pixel art, image edits, makeup, or coming up with looks. I'm always looking for different ways to channel my creativity.
